Varun Beverages is a wholly owned subsidiary of RJ CORP Group. Varun Beverages is the second largest licensed bottler for PepsiCo worldwide, producing, bottling and distributing all PepsiCo brands in India. By the end of 2021, Varun Beverages had 32 factories in India. In addition, the company also has seven factories in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe etc, with more than 10,000 employees in total.

Newamstar and Varun had cooperated on a multi-function bottle blowing machine project many years ago. At that time, Newamstar and Varun beverages had in-depth communications regarding blowing machine technology, and after careful investigations, Varun finally decided to choose Newamstar to supply a 12-cavity multi-functional rotary blowing machine to its Zimbabwe plant. The blowing machine is compatible for water bottles, CSD bottles and Hot-fill juice bottles. And it is equipped with energy-saving temperature control system, servo stretching system, six-valve-group blowing system, mold quick changing function, etc., which have the advantages of simple operation, high stability, high capacity, low energy consumption and quick SKU change over. Once the blowing machine went into production, it quickly passed the acceptance of Varun company with excellent performance.

At the end of 2020, PepsiCo decided to launch AQUAFINA 5L bottles in Morocco. Thanks to Newamstar’s profound technical accumulation and rich project experience in the field of large bottle Combiblock, as well as the pleasant cooperation in previous projects, Varun decided to choose Newamstar as the supplier of the 6000BPH(5L) Combi Water line. The configuration of the production line is as follows:

☆ Blowing machine adopts servo stretching system, precise stretching, to ensure bottle blowing quality
☆ High pressure air recovery mechanism, reduce the high pressure air consumption
☆ Filling system adopts electronic valve non-contact filling, high filling precision, reducing cross contamination
☆ Automatic dummy cup device, increase the effective production time
☆ Filling – capping area is equipped with HEPA laminar flow cover to ensure positive pressure in filling chamber and improve hygiene level
☆ Production line is equipped with remote control module, which can help troubleshoot online

In order to ensure that Aquafina 5L to be launched on time, after the production line was delivered as scheduled, Newamstar project team overcame the obstacles of the epidemic, arriving at the beautiful Casablanca, where Varun’s factory is located, and quickly started the installation and commissioning. Through tireless efforts, Newamstar team completed the Combiblock installation and commissioning with only 15 days only, which well beyond the customer expectations, hailed as “China speed”, “Newamstar speed”, and the Newamstar Combiblock production line performance completely conquered Varun Morocco factory management in the coming productions.

It is the first time for Varun Morocco factory to adopt Chinese equipment. However, to their surprise, the manufacturing process and stability of Newamstar machine are no different from those of European suppliers, and they are more than worth the money.

After that, Newamstar and Varun company successively signed a number of production line projects, including bottled water Combiblock line, hot filling Combiblock line. We believe that in the future, the cooperation between Varun and Newamstar will be stable and long-term.
